Used Car Diagnostic Scan — Sandton

Looking at a used car in Sandton? We come to it, plug in a diagnostic scanner and send you what it finds.

Launching November 2026We come to the carR320 launch price, paid once you have the report

Seller’s complex, office parking or a dealer’s lot in Sandton, Bryanston, Rivonia or Morningside: we come to where the car is standing.

What the scan reads

Fault codes

Stored and pending codes from the engine, gearbox, ABS and airbag systems, where the car supports it.

Readiness monitors

Whether the car’s self-tests have completed. Incomplete monitors can mean the fault memory was cleared recently, by the seller or by a disconnected battery.

Freeze-frame data

The snapshot the engine computer saves at the moment a fault was logged.

Your report

The scanner’s report, sent by email or WhatsApp after the scan, with every code written out in plain language.

How it works

  1. Send us the car

Make, model, year and where it is standing. A WhatsApp message is enough.

  2. We plug in at the car

At the seller’s address or yours, in Johannesburg, with the owner’s permission. It usually takes under an hour.

  3. You get the report

Straight after the scan, by email or WhatsApp. You pay the R320 launch price once you have it, plus a travel fee of R10 a km beyond 10 km from us. We confirm the total on WhatsApp before you book.

What a scan is not

A scan is not a mechanical inspection. We do not assess the body, paint, rust, tyres, brakes or suspension, we do not road-test the car, and we do not tell you whether to buy it.

A fault code points to a system, not to a confirmed failed part, and a car can have problems that never log a code. If you are serious about a car, have a qualified mechanic look at it as well.

We only read. We never clear codes or change settings on a car.

We do not sell cars, we do not do repairs, and we take no commission from any workshop.
