Buying a used car, or a warning light on your own? We come to the car with a diagnostic scanner, read what its computers have stored, and send you the report.
What the scan reads
Fault codes
Stored and pending codes from the engine, gearbox, ABS and airbag systems, where the car supports it.
Readiness monitors
Whether the car’s self-tests have completed. Incomplete monitors can mean the fault memory was cleared recently, by the seller or by a disconnected battery.
Freeze-frame data
The snapshot the engine computer saves at the moment a fault was logged.
Your report
The scanner’s report, sent by email or WhatsApp after the scan, with every code written out in plain language.
How it works
-
Send us the car
Make, model, year and where it is standing. A WhatsApp message is enough.
-
We plug in at the car
At the seller’s address or yours, in Johannesburg, with the owner’s permission. It usually takes under an hour.
-
You get the report
Straight after the scan, by email or WhatsApp. You pay the R320 launch price once you have it, plus a travel fee of R10 a km beyond the first 10 km from us. We confirm the total on WhatsApp before you book.
Who books a scan
Before you buy
See what the car’s computers have logged before the money moves, at the seller’s address. Scanning a car before you buy →
A light on your dash
Find out which system logged the fault and what the code means, before anyone quotes you for a part.
A fleet or a group of drivers
Three to five cars at one address, or e-hailing drivers booking together, scanned in one visit for R750. Fleet prices →
What a scan is not
A scan is not a mechanical inspection. We do not assess the body, paint, rust, tyres, brakes or suspension, we do not road-test the car, and we do not tell you whether to buy it.
A fault code points to a system, not to a confirmed failed part, and a car can have problems that never log a code. If you are serious about a car, have a qualified mechanic look at it as well.
We only read. We never clear codes or change settings on a car.
We do not sell cars, we do not do repairs, and we take no commission from any workshop.
Launching November 2026. Message us to book a date.
